Helen and I would like to wish all of you a very happy New Year. It's time to reflect on 2010, which was a very good year Packard-wise. We had many events in a wide variety to suit everyone: we enjoyed a great picnic with the Raswycks as hosts: spent a beautiful long weekend in the White Mountains with the Classic Car Club; tried a new venue for our Christmas Party; and continued our always well attended Wright's Chicken Farm dinner with friends from other car clubs, with a few car shows thrown in.

This year's "menu" is now on this website and looks to be a winner. We'll kick off with a picnic in May at the Wilmington, Mass. home of new members Peter and Diana Telis. Picnics have been well attended in the past, and we have another scheduled this year at Sherman Wolfer's in Amherst, NH. We plan on responding to a suggestion from Pat Gagnon to include a judging seminar or tech class at one or both of these events.

For those who haven't been to a Henry Joy tour, please consider this year's tour in Clinton, NJ. It will end up at Ralph Marano's Packard collection, which is the best in the world, as far as I'm concerned.

For a shorter drive, we'll host a weekend that will include Martha's Vineyard, Woods Hole and Falmouth on the Cape. Last year I commented on how lucky we were to have such a diverse area to take advantage of this year.

A few comments about some of our members - what a fantastic job the Langworths and Wessons did on the Tom Mix tour, spending days at the Eagle Mountain House for a year planning that event! And how about Ruth and Scott Raswyck with the reservations, despite the fact that Ruth couldn't even come: she handled it with her ususal ease.

This is an election year for the club. If you ever felt like running for office or hosting an event, please let one of our board members know; we may have more hidden talent that needs to come out.

Happy Motoring!

Pat

See you in a Packard!
